The next installment of the adventures of the unbroken Spider saving the world. The game is an appetizer prepared by Activision for all fans of Marvel's universe heroes' struggle for the next, third part of Spider-Man's adventure film version.
Spider-Man: Battle for New York is another adventure of the Spider-Man who has to save the world once again. The game was developed by Activision and released before Spider-Man's third movie. This time, he defends New York against his old friend, Green Goblin.
The plot of the game is presented in the form of comic book s, telling us about Green Goblin's escape from prison. Unfortunately, he met Kingpin - the two villains decide to attack the city. They intend to turn the gangs of New York City into their army of mutant soldiers.
In addition to fights with enemies, the player must avoid cameras and eliminate them efficiently, which is ideal for spider skills such as walking on walls and ceilings. The Spider-Man has standard attacks, various types of spider web nets (to move around, immobilize enemies, pull items and enemies) and special moves. During the game, our hero gains skills that allow him to fight more effectively. The game is enriched by mini-games that allow, for example, to test the "spider's sense" of the player.
The game offers the possibility of fighting as Spider-Man or Green Goblin. The first has to stop the evil plans of the criminal duo while the latter has to defeat Spider-Man and cause as much destruction as possible.
Spider-Man: Battle for New York is made as a combination of 3D graphics in a 2D convention, a so-called brawler with the ability to move in all directions. The sound layer is rich, which can be heard, for example, by listening to the comments of the main characters and their opponents.
