An FPP survival horror action adventure game. In Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation we find ourselves in a haunted mansion, and our task is to cross 1000 rooms full of scares and dangers.
Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation is an action adventure game, with survival horror elements. It is a refreshed version of the game Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion, released in 2014. It was developed by the indie studio Albino Moose Games. The author of the original, Akuma Kira, oversaw only selected elements of its artistic layer.
In Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation we find ourselves in the titular mansion on a hill, about which terrifying legends have been circulating for generations. Our goal is to uncover the mysteries of the place. First, however, we have to survive crossing 1000 rooms full of scares and dangers, prepared by the titular Spooky.
In Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). We traverse the title mansion, solve puzzles and read the notes scattered around it, gradually learning more and more about it. The age is not an idyllic one, however, as various phantoms and monsters trample on our heels. As encounters with them usually end tragically for us, we have to avoid them at all costs, hiding from them and fleeing when necessary. Interestingly, each gameplay here looks a bit different, as most of the mansion's rooms (except for a select few where we first meet a given enemy) are procedurally generated.
Graphics in Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation is made in a retro style, bringing to mind games from the 1990s.
