Star Wars: Battlefront - Battle of Jakku

Battle of Jakku is the first DLC for the online shooter Star Wars: Battlefront. It was made available to PS4, PC and XONE players for free to celebrate the premiere of the seventh episode of the Star Wars series – a space opera created by George Lucas – entitled Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The studio behind the game and the DLC pack is the Swedish team EA DICE. Players who preordered the PS4, PC and XONE version of Star Wars: Battlefront received access to the DLC a week before the official release.

Battle of Jakku features two multiplayer maps that take the players to the Outer Rim territories, to a desert planet Jakku presented in the new movie. This expansion pack features the events that precede those shown in the movie – players take part in a final battle between the New Republic and Imperial forces. Its aftermath (devastated land and debris covering the planet surface) is depicted in The Force Awakens.
