The game does not hold on to one era of Star Wars, drawing freely from the whole history of the cycle and offering us a number of small, unrelated adventures that enable us to take on the role of many famous characters from the universe. This means that we won't find an extensive scenario here, but the game can show many aspects of the universe of Star Wars in an interactive form.
In of mechanics, Star Wars: Rivals is a TPP shooter and the gameplay focuses on the use of cover. The player does not have full freedom to explore the maps, and their task is only to shoot and choose a moment to move between various obstacles. The fact that most of the covers can't withstand enemy fire for long makes the game even more attractive, so we have to change the position regularly.
Star Wars: Rivals offers a single-player adventure mode where we visit places like Jakku, Bespin or Takodana. There are also online PvP battles, which enable us to fight other players in small arenas.
Multiplayer battles are diversified by the fact that before the match we choose three characters and during the fight, we can switch between them at any time. Moreover, we are ed by allied units controlled by artificial intelligence.
The game features attractive three-dimensional graphics, which well reproduces the atmosphere of Star Wars.
