Star Wolves 3: Civil War is the third installment of a series of space flight simulators developed by the Russian X-Bow Software studio. The player takes on the role of commander of the Star Wolves ship formation, wandering through a dangerous galaxy. In some markets the game was released in the form of an extension to an earlier version of the series.
The Civil War is the title of the official addition to the second part of the space strategy with elements of RPG, Star Wolves 2. It is worth mentioning that in Western countries it was released as a stand-alone game and was named Star Wolves 3: The Civil War. Feature-film, the game merges with the first part of the epic saga, Star Wolves, but introduces new threads that reveal themselves along with the decisions made by the player.
The struggle between corporations trying to control further star systems has led to the depletion of natural resources. Cosmos has become a very dangerous place - where civilizations used to develop and where order prevailed, you can now find cemeteries of damaged and abandoned spacecraft, plundered by pirates and adventurers. There is anarchy and total impunity in space - the black market in technology and weapons is flourishing. This is the moment when the player in command of the Star wolves arrives. It is our choices and decisions that determine the future of practically the entire universe.
The Civil War offers a great deal of freedom both in moving around the galaxy and in selecting specific missions to complete. And we must it that this galaxy is not the smallest one - the creators have prepared 96 very carefully designed star systems for exploration. The selection of missions depends on the way the game ends, and there are several of them as well. There are also some new characters in the game, of which we can freely form an army, moreover, each of our comrades can be trained in order to achieve a specific skill useful on the battlefield. The novelties include the additional side of the conflict, the New Empire, with its own fleet, as well as new base ships and destroyers, with previously unknown, original weapons and armour.
The Civil War is the responsibility of the Elite Games Team and Xbow Software duo, while the release was taken care of by the 1C corporation.

Star Wolves 3: Ashes of Victory is a stand-alone extension to Star Wolves space simulator by developers from Elite Games studio. The plot of the addition focuses on the destabilization of forces in the conflict-torn galaxy and the threat from star pirates and ers of former emperor Ezar. Players can use many new vehicles and weapons, as well as face new factions.
