The Secrets of Pine Hill is the second title in the Starshine series, a combination of a simple adventure game and an arcade. This product has been developed mainly for younger girls. During the game we get to know the further fate of the inhabitants of the seaside town of Jorvik. This time the story presented in the game focuses on Linda's character, although the game did not run out of other students of the local school - Lisa, Alex and Anna.

The brave girls accidentally overhear Mr. Sands' plan while exploring the Pine Hill residence. It turns out that the man intends to raze the town to the ground by blowing up a nearby dam. While steering Linda's character we have to stop Sands and of his group, getting to know the next interesting secrets of Jorvik.

The actual gameplay model does not differ much from what was offered by the previous part of the series. So we deal with careful exploration of the town and adjacent areas, conversations with independent figures, collecting interactive objects and solving simple logical puzzles.

An important element of the game are interactions with a horse named Meteor, with whom the main heroine befriended. We have to take care of the animal, and in return we can count on faster exploration of the area. In addition, the option to take part in an equestrian event appears.

The main character's struggle is observed from the perspective of a third person, and during the game we move through a three-dimensional environment. It should be noted that the game is characterized by very low hardware requirements.
