The first major add-on to Steel Division 2, a historic strategy released in 2019. The Death on the Vistula expansion focuses on the fights for Warsaw that took place in 1944. Eugen Systems is responsible for the production release.
Steel Division 2: Death on the Vistula is the first expansion to Eugen Systems' 2019 Steel Division 2 strategy. The DLC moves players to 1944, where they will take part in attempts to stop the Red Army from entering Warsaw.
Steel Division 2: Death on the Vistula doesn't change the gameplay mechanics, and the developers focused on adding new content. The player is dealing with a hybrid, in which, in turn-based mode, on the battlefield plan, he plans the strategy of action and manages units, and in real time he fights the enemy units. The expansion introduces more than two hundred new units. Among them you can find the Sturmtiger cannon and the Kubus armoured car. In addition, the DLC includes four historical divisions - the Home Army, 1st Polish Infantry Division “Tadeusz Kosciuszko”, the 5th SS Panzer Division "Wiking" and the 1st Paratroop Panzer Division Hermann Goring.
Steel Division 2: Death on the Vistula launches a new feature campaign, as well as two historical maps for the multiplayer skirmishes - River of Blood, Fighting Retreat, Escape from Brest and Memento Mori.
Steel Division 2: Death on the Vistula is an add-on that requires a basic version of the game to work.
