An action adventure game with stealth elements, developed by Storm in a Teacup. Steel Seed has the player facing a threat looming over the remnants of humanity, hiding underground for thousands of years.
Steel Seed is an action adventure game with elements of stealth. It was developed by Storm in a Teacup, a studio responsible for games such as Close to the Sun.
Steel Seed takes place in a grim future, in which humanity has led to the Earth's near complete destruction. Those who manage to survive the catastrophe (needing the help of AI to do so) settled deep underground, where they were safe for thousands of years. These peaceful days have ed, and now a new threat looms over humanity (or rather its remnants). The main protagonist must face the threat, putting her own humanity to the test by doing so.
Steel Seed consists of traversing atmospheric and overwhelmingly grandiose, though also bleak and dark locations. We'll have to face plenty of enemies in order to accomplish our task. The protagonist is adept at wielding futuristic weaponry and skilled in melee combat. Nevertheless, as we're usually outnumbered, we often must act quietly, sneak behind enemies and eliminate them undetected.
Steel Seed is the most ambitious project of Storm in a Teacup to date. The game runs on Unreal Engine and features high-quality visuals.

Game Ratings for Steel Seed Video Game.
ZTGD: 5 / 10 by Terrence Johnson
The more I played of Steel Seed the more I felt like that old saying where the kid asks for McDonalds and their mom says they have that at home. Yea, well Steel Seed is like the Stellar Blade we have at home. While the game itself is competent, its greatest sin for me is that it just wasn’t very fun. This seed didn’t bring forth the crop I thought it would, and I suggest just skipping this one.

A very middle-of-the-road game, Steel Seed has some great things going for it, and some real headaches that I wish could be remedied. If it weren’t for the massive difficulty fluctuation and iffy platforming, it could stand with its contemporaries without question. Still, it could be worth a purchase solely for its lofty ambition and immaculate presentation.
WellPlayed: 5 / 10 by Ash Wayling
The blend of stealth and action in a mysterious sci-fi setting held so much promise. It's genuinely disappointing, then, to find a game that feels like it never quite coalesced…a bit like a seed that never quite sprouted.
