Release Date: February 22, 2018
The fourth expansion for the well-received space strategy game by Paradox Interactive. The main feature of the DLC are huge units, including the mighty Colossi that can destroy whole planets. The expansion also adds new bonuses, additional career paths for the more peaceful players, and space pirates.
Stellaris: Apocalypse for PC is the fourth large expansion for Stellaris, a well-received 4X strategy game released in 2016. It was developed by Paradox Interactive and requires the base game to run.
Stellaris: Apocalypse features new content for both warlike and peaceful players. The expansion ads new, gigantic Titan-class ships, which have immense firepower and give additional bonuses to the units accompanying them. But the most awe-inspiring is the Colossus – a powerful space weapon that can destroy entire planets. To balance things out, you can also create large defensive installations in space, which can protect you from the stronger enemies. Meanwhile, pacifists can follow new career paths and get new Unity perks.
Another new feature are the Marauders, space pirates living on the edge of civilization. Those galactic nomads raid the nearby empires, which can hire them as mercenaries and use for their own benefit. However, halfway through the game the pirates can unite, which creates a dilemma: use their services and face a big crisis later or use your resources to fight them.
Stellaris: Apocalypse doesn't feature any changes to the technical aspects of the game, apart from adding three new tracks to the soundtrack by Andreas Waldetoft.

Game Ratings for Stellaris: Apocalypse Video Game.
GameWatcher: 6 / 10 by Marcello Perricone
A needed yet ultimately disappointing expansion.
Cubed3: 5 / 10
This new DLC, Stellaris: Apocalypse, and the major update to the base game, overhaul some serious systems, but the root problem of the title still remains. It simply is too grindy, too 'bureaucratic,' and simply takes too long to do anything interesting.
Hardcore Gamer: 4 / 5 by Spencer Rutledge
Paradox has always made fantastic strategy games and while Stellaris proved different it still found a base.
