An expansion for the 4X space strategy from Paradox Interactive. Stellaris: Shadows of the Shroud features modifications to the psionic gameplay route and allows to cross the enigmatic Shroud. The DLC introduces new governments, new alliances with patrons and a risk of total annihilation.
Stellaris: Shadows of the Shroud is an expansion for Stellaris, a science-fiction 4X strategy game from Paradox Development Studio. This add-on focuses on psionics and the mysterious Shroud.
Stellaris: Shadows of the Shroud novelizes the path of psionic development. Delving into the vast and dangerous dimension of psionics, we find a path to the Shroud, behind which mysterious living beings await. The three-stage age through Shroud affects our relationships with patrons and results in gaining access to a special , through which we analyze synchronization with aliens. Greater synchronization means more bonuses and unlocked benefits.
Additionally, the expansion modifies the End of Cycle. Coming in with the Shroud has a significant impact on both allies and enemies, and the risk of total annihilation looms over moral choices. Entire star systems react to psionic auras.
The DLC also introduces new ethos, portraits, ships, citizens, and types of governments.
Stellaris: Shadows of the Shroud requires the base version of Stellaris to operate.
