A first-person simulation game about running our own motel. Our tasks in Sunset Motel include renovating rooms and installing furniture, expanding our business, creating recreational areas for the guests and meeting their needs, as well as visiting a nearby town using a purchased car.
Sunset Motel is a simulation game that allows us to run the titular motel. The game was developed by the Efkey Studios team, while its release was handled by the Polish company RockGame.
In Sunset Motel we watch the events from a first-person perspective (FPP). We take over the titular motel in the game. Our task is to transform it from a rundown facility into a thriving business.
To accomplish our goals, we need to undertake a comprehensive renovation of the motel. We start the whole process by getting rid of any leftover furniture from a given room or removing the old floor. Only after tidying up a given room can we start painting, laying new s, installing windows or furnishing. It depends on us what style each room will be maintained in.
A motel is not just a place to sleep, especially if we want to transform it into a real gem. The game also allows us to take care of other attractions for guests, including recreational areas such as a swimming pool, a sauna, a gym or a bar.
Since we need money for everything, we are not able to renovate the entire motel right away. As we progress, our portfolio grows richer, and with it - the number of guests we accommodate and the space available for them. Additionally, we are gradually unlocking new skills that enhance our business potential.
Over time, the list of duties also gets longer. Errands often involve the need to go to the city. We go on such "trips" with cars that we buy and also renovate. When the amount of work becomes so large that we are not able to handle it alone, we can hire staff who will relieve us in selected tasks.
