Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls is a spin-off of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series, a classic jRPG with a turn-based combat system, in which the main characters are personifications of various consoles. The title was developed by the Japanese studios Felistella, Compile Heart and Idea Factory. Developers are known primarily for preparing revised editions of the major installments of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series aimed at PC and PS Vita. The game is a crossover between the franchise and the transmedia projec Sega Hard Girls, created in 2013 by Sega and ASCII Media Works. Under this brand - describing the adventures of antropomorphic Sega consoles - anime series and numerous books, comic books and gadgets have been published.

Story

The protagonist of the game is If, a background character known to fans of Hyperdimension Neptunia, which represents the Idea Factory company. While visiting a huge library with books containing a record of world history, the protagonist discovers that some volumes are disappearing in mysterious circumstances, taking with them not only knowledge about past events, but also the past itself. If decides to solve the mystery and sets off on a journey in time to find the lost books. During her adventure she meets companions such as Sega Hatsumi, Dream Cast, Sega Saturn, Game Gear and Mega Drive. Cut-scenes are implemented in visual novel formula.
