An improved version of Swords & Soldiers II, an interesting combination of a side-scrolling action game, an RTS and a tower defense game. In Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon we take part in one-on-one clashes, and our task is to destroy the enemy fortress before they destroy ours. To do this, we need to obtain raw materials, improve our base and recruit units, which we then send to fight the forces of the enemy.

Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon combines elements of side-scroll action game, RTS and tower defense. The title is an improved and extended version of Swords & Soldiers II from 2015, and was developed by Ronimo Games.

Plot

Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon tells the story of Chief Redbeard known from the first game. During the game we accompany him and his entourage of vigorous Vikings in adventures that lead them through the Persian deserts to hell itself.

Mechanics

In Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon we observe action from a side perspective. The basis of the game are one-on-one clashes; each of the participants has their own fortress, and their aim is to conquer the fortress belonging to the opponent. In order to defeat their adversary, the player must acquire gold and mana, develop the base and recruit soldiers, which we send to fight against enemy forces. Additionally, we can our subordinates with various spells.

Game modes

Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon offers a campaign; players looking for an additional challenge can also try their hand at time trials and complete optional mission goals.

The game also features an Internet multiplayer mode, in which players can lead Vikings, Persians, and demon armies. Each side of the conflict has its own set of units and spells, as well as a technological tree. Players can also create their own army which can be ed with spells of our choice. What's interesting, we can play various mini-games or quick clashes with artificial intelligence while we are waiting for a match to start.

Technical aspects

Compared with the original game from 2015, Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon features higher graphics quality, online multiplayer mode, additional maps and improvements made to the single player campaign.
