Mechanics

In Tales of Herring Lake we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The gameplay takes place during one day of game time.

During the game we can devote ourselves entirely to fishing. This is encouraged by the extensive mechanics associated with fishing, which even a serious simulator would not be ashamed of. On the other hand, things like noises coming from a nearby cave or a strange object floating in the water make us quickly start asking ourselves questions about whether something bad is going on here. In order to solve the mystery of this place, we have to go for a walk around the area and look into every corner, gradually gathering scraps of information.

The plot of this game is non-linear, and which of its endings we will see depends on our actions and choices we make.

Tales of Herring Lake features high quality graphics. The rich and detailed vegetation growing around the lake is especially appealing.
