Game from the borderline of 3D platform games and TPP adventure games. In Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight we play as Yukumo, who finds herself in the far eastern town of To-en. The girl explores the town and its surroundings, studying its secrets and looking for parts to repair her ship.
Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is a hybrid of adventure game and 3D platformer. The game was developed by Orbital Express studio, while its release was handled by Playism.
The main character of the game Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is Yukumo. The protagonist travels around the world aboard her airship. When it breaks down, she is forced to land in the Far Eastern-inspired city of To-en. She discovers there are only of the Nezu tribe left - intelligent beings resembling cats. Trying to find the parts she needs to repair the ship and continue her journey, she helps the Nezu while trying to discover what happened in the city and where the people who used to live here have gone.
In Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game was prepared in such a way as to provide the possibility of relaxation and stress-free fun, so it is in vain, for example, to look for the heroine's life bar. Instead, the game focuses on exploration and getting to know the presented world.
Yukumo visits a variety of locations. Apart from the city, which acts as a hub, where we talk to of the Nezu tribe and accept tasks from them, there are also picturesque gardens, mountains covered in white fluff and ancient temples. While exploring them, we look for items needed to complete missions, as well as obtain parts and other resources necessary to repair our ship. In many of them there are also platforming challenges, requiring dexterity and reflexes, as well as uncomplicated environmental puzzles. Over time, when the ship has been partially repaired, you can use it to go on trips around the area, discovering new locations.
In between explorations and tasks, we can buy new clothes for the protagonist and decorations for her room. In addition, an extensive photo mode has been implemented in the game, allowing us to capture eye-catching moments.
Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight has colourful graphics in a manga style. The game is accompanied by an ambient soundtrack by a musician using the pseudonym Ujico.
