Tatra Photo Scenery

Tatra Photo Scenery is the fourth in a series of add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004/2002, the production of which is the responsibility of the development team of Simdesign studio. Following the earlier achievements, the creators made the virtual flights over Poland more attractive by introducing detailed landscape maps.

According to the title, Tatra Photo Scenery offers players the opportunity to watch the Tatra Mountains from airplanes. The area of the area reproduced in the Appendix covers approximately 3 thousand square kilometres, including the Slovak part of the mountain massif.

The basis for generating the view of the virtual Tatra Mountains were authentic photographs from the Earth's orbit, taken in September 2003 by the Landsat and IRS-1C/D satellites. Thanks to the use of advanced technologies, including the geoinformation system ERDAS Imagine by Geosystems Polska, the creators of the supplement managed to reproduce topographic details with high accuracy (e.g. mountain peaks, games, es).
