TAXI Challenge: London is another part of a series of racing games (after TAXI Challenge: Berlin) in which we play the role of a taxi driver. The task set by the authors seems to be simple: to bring as many engers as possible within the set time to a specific place, although the actual reality requires much more effort from the players than it seems on the surface. Searching for various shortcuts (metro tunnels, building crossings, etc.), jumps on ramps or driving against the current is a daily bread for a taxi driver in London. Among the engers with whom we meet in the full version, we can distinguish: aggressive old ladies, Japanese tourists, punks, businessmen, or sweet teenagers - but always that "the ground is a satisfied customer".
The described position is focused mainly on the arcade character of the game. It's hard to find here a faithfully reproduced physics of driving or a model of destruction - instead of these elements, programmers focused on dynamics and the pleasure of playing. Also noteworthy are the refined audio-visual effects of the program (e.g. day and night cycle, funny comments of engers).
