Compilation of four strategy games referring to the historical period of the Napoleonic Wars and the great sea battles of the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Battleground Collection 1 is a package of four Talonsoft strategy games, three of which - belonging to the Battleground series - directly present the events of the Napoleonic Wars: from the campaign in Russia to the battles with allied forces and the final defeat of Waterloo. The fourth title is Age of Sail, a marine strategy that took place in the same historical period at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
In Battleground 3: Waterloo we have a direct opportunity to play the last battle of the Napoleonic campaign in which Napoleon lost on 18 June 1815 to the allied forces of England and Prussia, commanded by Prince Wellington and Field Marshal Blücher.
Battleground 6: Napoleon in Russia presents the events of September 1812, when Napoleonic troops clashed with Russian forces in the bloody battle of Borodino.
In Battleground 8: Prelude to Waterloo we can trace the fighting between the French and the allied forces in the battles of Ligny and Quatre-Bras. Despite the victory, these battles weakened Napoleon very much and decided on his future defeat at Waterloo.
Age of Sail is a perfect simulation of sea battles, which took place at the turn of the 17th and 18th century, i.e. during the Napoleonic Wars and the American War of Independence. We have the whole campaign running from 1775 to 1820 to play out. It consists of 100 scenarios, among which we will find such famous skirmishes as the Battle of Trafalgar, Camperdown or Cape St. Vincent.
