The Beginner's Guide for PC is another intriguing game by Davey Wreden, the creator of the incredibly well-received The Stanley Parable. The title tells a difficult story of his complicated relations with a friend who is also a game developer. The designer is known as Coda, and the player can browse the huge library of the games we developed. The plot focuses on analysis of human psyche and has no univocal interpretation.

Mechanics

The Beginner's Guide is a kind of narratively ed compilation of minigames — completing each of these small experiences takes just a few minutes. The title is estimated to provide around two hours of gameplay and is devoid of traditional aspects such as the ultimate goal or the possibility of failure. The player has no task to accomplish since their place is taken by the narration. In each of the available 134 minigames that have such enigmatic names as “detail”, “advantages“ or “entering”, the action is presented from the first-person perspective.
