A TPP action game styled after retro science-fiction titles, created by ACE Team studio – known from games like Rock of Ages, Abyss Odyssey, or the Zeno Clash series. The story features the adventures of three astronauts and their robot companion, whose ship crashes on the alien planet Gravoria, and their only chance to escape is reaching the top of a massive tower.
The Deadly Tower of Monsters, released on PC and PS4, is an action game maintained in a retro science-fiction style. The production was created by ACE Team, known for such titles as Rock of Ages, Abyss Odyssey or the Zeno Clash series.
The campaign in The Deadly Tower of Monsters focuses on the adventures of three human astronauts and a robot, whose ship crashes on a foreign planet known as Gravoria. The only way to escape from this place is to climb up to the very top of a huge tower. The problem is that this building is known throughout the universe as one giant and deadly trap.
The events are observed from a camera placed high above the hero's head, and the gameplay focuses mainly on eliminating hordes of enemies. During the fights, the astronauts use a wide arsenal of weaponry. They face, e.g. humanoid lizards, giant ants, dinosaurs and mechanical monkeys mutated by radiation.
The level of difficulty increases with each new floor. Interestingly, enemies can throw us down from the tower to the lower floors, but this doesn't mean that we will die. Instead, this often allows us to reach previously inaccessible locations. All four characters have different equipment and skills. We can switch between them in special chambers scattered around the maps. An additional attraction is the cooperation mode for four people.
The most interesting element of The Deadly Tower of Monsters is its stylistics. The game is stylized to look like a re-edition of an old black-and-white science-fiction film, which was colored for a DVD release. The character and world projects also reflect this idea. The monsters were designed as if they were played by actors dressed in costumes or complicated puppets, and the scenes with flying spaceships have visible lines attached to their models. Also, the gameplay is accompanied by a constant commentary by the director, who describes how much time he and his team filmed specific scenes.

Game Ratings for The Deadly Tower of Monsters Video Game.
Metro GameCentral: 5 / 10
B-movie by name and B-movie by nature, but there's still enjoyment to be had with the endearingly rubbish enemies and fun but vapid combat.
GameCrate: 8 / 10 by Robert Workman
While The Deadly Tower of Monsters would've been better with optional camera control, a New Game + mode and more gameplay combos, it's still a fitting tribute to the long-lost era of 50's sci-fi. It's still a fun romp through a crazy world, and it's got one of the better final acts you'll find in a game like this, complete with a twist that will send you for a comical loop. Hop in and enjoy the cheese.
ZTGD: 8 / 10 by Ken McKown
Fans of classic B-movies would be remiss to on this quirky action title. Its personality and charm make it worth playing through on their own.
