The Final Station for PC, SWITCH and etc. is an independent game created by Do My Best Games studio. It combines elements of the simulator, shooter, and survival genres. It was published by the tinyBuild Games company, which has put out numerous indie productions – Punch Club, Party Hard, Fearless Fantasy, and more.
Story
The action is set in a dying, post-apocalyptic world. Humanity is on the verge of extinction due to an outburst of a deadly virus that transforms people into bizarre and dangerous monsters craving for blood of the remaining living people. You take the role of one of the survivors traveling from town to town in a train.
Gameplay
The Final Station for PC, SWITCH and etc. is a two-dimensional survival game, compared by its creators to the Polish hit - This War of Mine. Gameplay is divided into several aspects – traveling in the train in order to find fuel and resources is the most fundamental one. During the journey you have to take care of your engers, and maintain the locomotive in working conditions (you need to manage the tooling, keep an eye on the fuel level, etc.). The second aspect concerns exploration and fighting. From time to time, you will stop at different stations to look for supplies and survivors. In order to do this, you have to get off the safe train, and go on foot through different buildings, now inhabited by new, murderous dwellers. You face them by using all kinds of weapons (e.g. a shotgun), but it is necessary to be cautious, as you will be outnumbered most of the time. Apart from that, you have to decide whether to give shelter to the other survivors you meet, or close the door of your train and leave them behind for a certain death.
