The main character of The Last Ninja, created by System 3, is Armakuni, the last of the Mystical Shadow warriors, who during his brothers' pilgrimage to Lin Fei Island, became the guardian of Bunjinkan Shrine. Learning about Kunitoki's massacre, he decides to go to the Holy Land and stand up to the enemy alone.
For the warriors of the Mystical Shadow clan, Lin Fei Island has always been a place of worship. It was here that the White Ninja temple was located, the perfect place to meditate and worship the ancient deities. The evil Shogun Kunitoki of the competitive Ashikaga clan knew that defeating enemies on the Holy Land would allow him to cover them with eternal disgrace. Allied with the forces of hell, he attacked his opponents unexpectedly and murdered everyone without exception. At least he thought so.

Exploration of the island is divided into six extensive stages, in which we will visit the desert, jungle, gardens, dungeons, palace and temple. In each of them there are a dozen or so carnivores waiting to be defeated, those fighting in close combat or those using small arms. Initially Armakuni can rely only on the strength of his fists, but with time he will also find appropriate means of extermination (sword, nunchaku, shurikens, as well as such inventions as e.g. a smoke candle). In addition to inflicting blows, our hero can also jump, climb some of the walls and collect items falling here and there. This last factor will be necessary in a few moments, because only with the right things, we will be able to cross through some traps set by Kunitoki's minions on the way to the destination.
PeCet conversion is almost entirely based on the original intended for Commodore 64 computers and for this reason it does not look very impressive. Complicated control, which in the original was entirely based on appropriate movements performed with the joystick, on the keyboard turns out to be an insurmountable obstacle for most s - especially when it comes to the fight, which is fast and requires constant changes in the player's character setting.
