The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero

The main protagonist is police officer Lloyd Bannings, who has recently received the title of detective. He is assigned to a special section dedicated to assisting various departments in the city. In the course of the campaign, together with other law enforcement officers, Bannings will have to uncover the secret plans of local syndicates, and in the process will become embroiled in a conspiracy by the largest church on the continent to transform a young girl into a deity.

Game mechanics

The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero is a classic jRPG. We explore the world, complete quests, develop characters and fight many battles. The gameplay is varied by numerous mini-games.

Skirmishes take place in a turn-based system and during them we can give orders to a team of several characters, each of whom has unique abilities and equipment. The game focuses on cooperation between of the group, and in order to achieve success we must learn to use their skills in such a way that they compliment the talents of their comrades-in-arms.

The biggest novelty compared to The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 3rd is the ability to upgrade weapons and equipment. In addition, the option to acquire very rare items in exchange for selling our loot at heavily discounted prices has appeared in the stores.

The game offers a single-player mode only.

Technical aspects

The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero features simple, but pleasing to the eye graphics, whose greatest advantage is a visually interestingly designed world. The locations and objects in them were made in 3D, while the characters are two-dimensional sprites.
