Continuation of the detective adventure published in 2008 by Legacy Games studio. Playing the role of the famous detective, the player has to unravel 16 mysterious crimes that shook the Victorian England. The gameplay is based on the mechanisms typical of HOPA games, combining puzzles of the "hidden objects" type with puzzles in the form of mini games.
The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes 2 is a sequel to the game released in 2008. Developers from Legacy Games studio remained faithful to the genre of HOPA (Hidden Objcets Puzzle Adventure) casual adventures.
The player has the opportunity to move back to Baker Street 221 and play the role of the famous detective. This time Sherlock Holmes, assisted by Dr. Watson and Inspector Lestrade, has to unravel 16 mysterious crimes that have shaken the Victorian London community. As usual, in the course of investigations, he will be interviewed by independent figures, looking for traces of crime and a thorough analysis of the evidence gathered.
The game is based primarily on "hidden objects" tasks. The creators have prepared nearly 50 puzzles of this type, requiring perceptiveness and concentration of attention. Several logical mini-games, including puzzles, cryptograms and anagrams, have also been added to the game for variety.
As befits the production intended for casual customers, the control system is characterized by intuitively simple mechanisms. Players can get a variety of trophies, as well as access to Arthur Conan Doyle's short stories and a bonus mini-game in the lab.
The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes 2 audiovisual setting does not differ in quality from the original. The creators used two-dimensional graphics with hand-drawn backgrounds, which in many cases resemble illustrations of books. The party is accompanied by a calm background music.
