The Red Solstice 2: Survivors is a game revolving around the story campaign consisting of tactical survival missions in which the player's task is to complete different goals by dealing with the consequences of the dangerous STROL virus. This is not an accidentally transmitted virus, but an intelligent biomass that thinks strategically and strives to eliminate humanity completely.

In the game, players control the Marines team, which can be selected from eight character classes available in the game, with unique skills, statistics, strengths, and weaknesses. Such team is sent to locations scattered around Mars, on special missions to contain the virus before it spreads. During this time, the team gathers raw materials and necessary items, thanks to which they have the opportunity to create and invent items they use in combat including battle armor, artillery, grenades, and turrets.

One can play The Red Solstice 2: Survivors alone or with friends. Multiplayer mode allows up to eight people to play at once. Depending on their needs, players can complete the adventure on their own but also other players in the game at any time, sharing the created goods and conceived plans. There is also a special cooperative survival campaign for multiplayer games.

Technical issues

The Red Solstice 2: Survivors is maintained in a style typical for science fiction games, and is geared towards creating sense of claustrophobia and being constantly surrounded. It is amplified by the battles taking place in tight spaces, peculiar opponents, as well as the soundtrack emphasizing the entire experience.
