The Secret of Monkey Island is a cult adventure game produced by LucasArts, which started one of the most famous cycles of the genre. The main character, Guybrush Threepwood, is a beginner pirate who wants to save his beloved Elain from the hands of cruel LeChucko. In order to do so, he has to complete the ship's crew and sail to the mysterious Monkey Island.
The Secret of Monkey Island is a classic adventure game that started the Monkey Island series. Its action takes place on the Carribean Island, inside a pirate “world”. Guybrush Threepwood is the protagonist who decides to become a fully-fledged pirate on Melee Island. Meanwhile, his beloved - governor Elaine - is kidnapped by an evil pirate called LeChuck who plans to marry her. In order to save her, Guybrush has to gather a crew for his ship and sail for the mysterious Monkey Island. Many adventures await him on the road, such as (mainly verbal) combat and lots of puzzles to solve.
