The Settlers II is the second installment of a series considered to be a real time strategy (RTS) classics. The player directs the actions of a group of settlers who are trying to build a colony on the newly discovered land. Developers from Blue Byte Software studio have prepared a captivating one-person mode campaign consisting of 10 missions and a fully functional, network multiplayer.
The Settlers II is a sequel to a great economic strategy game by Blue Byte in which we establish and develop settlements. In order to do so, however, we must gather resources and erect new buildings. The game offers a single campaign consisting of 10 missions, as well as 18 single missions.
As our colony grows, the number of its inhabitants increases, too, and they can be either assigned tasks or recruited into our army. Strong military is essential to protect our settlement against hostile tribes, as well as to conquer new lands. The multiplayer mode allows to play via LAN, the Internet, and even on a single computer by using split-screen mode. We may both cooperate and compete.
The Settlers II GOLD comes with The Settlers II: New Missions expansion pack, a map editor, as well as a bunch of bonus maps for both single- and multiplayer.
