The Unspoken for PC is an online action game focused on the PvP mode and the use of the VR technology. The production was developed by Insomniac Games, the creators of Ratchet & Clank series, among other things.
Plot
The game is focused only on multiplayer so there is no extensive plot in it. The action takes in the present but the developers’ vision is different than our reality in one key aspect—in The Unspoken, magic exists.
The players assume the role of mages who fight each other. The competition always has a form of a duel and is conducted according to strict rules. Should these be violated, the offender is decapitated.
Mechanics
In The Unspoken for PC, we observe the action from the eyes of our mage. The fun boils down to fighting duels on closed arenas which are sections of a city. Fights go on until one of the participants dies.
Battles are fought mostly with magic. The Unspoken offers twenty five spells for different purposes. These include standards attacks such as fireball but also four spells that conjure barriers, summon monsters, or manipulate the environment. There are several different arenas to choose from and every one of them offers unique conditions as well as tactical opportunities.
Technical aspects
The Unspoken for PC was built from scratch with the virtual reality technology in mind and does not allow to play on a regular screen. The game only works with VR Oculus Rift headsets.
