The continuation of the Japanese hack-and-slash action role-playing title The Witch and the Hundred Knight. During gameplay, you are engaged in the story of Amalie and Chelka – the witch who awakened in Amalie’s sister Milm. They are accompanied by a knight controlled by the player.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 for PS4 is the continuation of the game by Nippon Ichi Software published in 2013.
The game continues the story of a knight summoned in the first instalment by the witch named Metallia. This time, he serves two new heroines – Amalia, the agent hired by an organisation fighting witches, and Chelka, the witch who awakened in Milm, Amalia’s younger sister. The three bizarre heroes have to find the source of a strange disease that turns young girls from Kevala into witches.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a role-playing hack-and-slash game with a top-down view. The players control a knight with superpowers, travel through the world, and fight enemies. Combat is carried out in real time, so you need to adjust to the situation constantly. Luckily, the hero can equip up to five different weapons, like a sword, a hammer, or a spear, and switch between them freely. Depending on the type of a weapon, you can launch different attacks. Some weapons enable the hero to swirl and hurt enemies around, with other he can reach opponents in no time. Skilful selecting between particular tools and attacking in the right moments result in impressive and deadly combos. Moreover, there are special powers, like the one called Third Eye which unleashes the full power of the hero. In the world of The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2, you can come across Tochkas – AI-controlled characters who help you during gameplay.
In The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2, the hero becomes stronger by earning experience points. Apart from them, equipment plays the key role – you can get it through fighting, or craft it in your base with the items you’ve found.
The game by Nippon Ichi Software is 3-dimensional, and most of gameplay is observed from a top-down perspective. If compared to the first instalment, The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 for PS4 looks much better. The characters are more detailed, special effects more impressive, and the environment more diverse.
