Arcade game, in which we travel a dozen or so varied boards absorbing elements of the environment. Initially, the main character has the ability to absorb only small objects. With time, however, we absorb people, cars and even skyscrapers. The player's task is to collect as many points as possible within a specified time.
The Wonderful End of the World is the production of the independent Dejobaan Games studio, known primarily for its arcade game AaaaaAaaAaaAaaAAaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity. This time the player takes control of a specific hero who has the ability to absorb elements of the environment. We move through twelve levels, trying to absorb as many objects as possible in a certain time. We observe the game in the third person's view.
During the game we travel through a variety of sceneries: from a small room to the whole city. At the start of each stage, the main character is only able to absorb small items such as erasers or coffee cups. Along with the absorption of subsequent elements, it can suck in larger and larger objects. In extreme cases even skyscrapers.
At the end of each stage we get a rating depending on the number of points scored in the set time. In order to achieve the best possible result, it is necessary to be able to quickly assess whether the size of the main character allows the object of a given size to be absorbed. This allows us to choose the optimal path and we do not waste valuable seconds. Unlocking the last, twelfth level requires an "A" score in all previous stages. In addition to the standard game mode, players also have access to a game with no time limit and the challenge of clearing the entire board as quickly as possible.
Visual setting of The Wonderful End of the World presents itself quite poorly. Three-dimensional elements of the environment consist of a small number of solids. Candy colours dominate. During the game, the player is accompanied by a dozen or so lively songs, which mobilize to increase the pace.
