The game is set in the second century AD, featuring all the largest empires of the period – Rome, the Parthian Empire, the Chinese Han dynasty and the Kushan Empire. The player picks a side and takes on the role of a general who takes part in battles involving hundreds of units.
Mechanics
Tiger Knight: Empire War for PC is played from a third-person view and the gameplay formula employed here was based on two pillars. Spectacular, fast-paced action is the first of them; the player has direct control over their character – one is capable of performing attacks, linking them together into spectacular combos, performing charges, as well as parrying enemy strikes. The player makes use of extensive equipments, including different kinds of armors (cloth, leather, metal) and particular weapons that differ primarily in of damage they are capable of dealing. Furthermore, the game brings the Duel Mode, which is based on direct encounters of generals that represent the players in the game world. In the Epic War mode, the player participates in a full-spectrum war against the AI; team cooperation is the key to victory in this case.
Technical aspects
The game utilizes the Unreal Engine 3, offering high-quality 3D visuals. What is also worth mentioning, is the soundtrack created by Hitoshi Sakimoto, who was also behind the music in Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII.
