Titanfall: Assault for AND and iOS is a mobile multiplayer real-time strategy game. The production was developed Particle City and is distributed in the free-to-play model. It’s a spin-off installment of the first-person shooters series by Respawn Entertainment known from PC and home consoles.
Plot
The game takes us to the universe known from the Titanfall series. The action is set in the distant future, in times when humanity colonized countless star systems. The production tells of conflicts fought on the border areas of the human sector of galaxy. Great walkers, known as Titans, are used in the battles.
The production is meant for online play so it doesn’t offer a classic story. However, fans of console and PC installments of the franchise will surely recognize many machines, pilots, and locations.
Mechanics
Titanfall: Assault for AND and iOS is a real-time strategy game that focuses on multiplayer battles in which we command small units. The player’s task is to destroy the enemy base. The developers prepared a set of various maps and a wide selection of pilots and mechs/Titans. Among available machines, we can find those from Titanfall 2 as well as a lot of completely new ones, designed with the mobile game in mind.
Classic strategy game mechanics are enriched with elements of card games. While playing, we use a deck that serves as a way of summoning units to the battlefield and activating helpful special effects. The title also features a development system that lets us improve the statistics of our pilots and mechs.
Technical aspects
The game offers attractive and slightly cartoonish graphics that present battles from an isometric perspective.
