Mechanics

Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist is a multiplayer action game in which the action is presented from a third-person perspective. The gameplay is focused on an action-based combat. The title features a rich variety of playable characters – both ghouls and investigators. The first group is fighting by using kagune, an organ that is unique for each member of this species and that enables the ghouls to attack and defend themselves. CCG is collecting kagune from the bodies of defeated ghouls and they use them to create special weapons known as quinque. These weapons even the odds between the investigators and the paranormal enemy.

In the game, the players can control the majority of characters known from the comic book. Among them, there are Ken Kaneki, Touka Kirishima, Nishiki Nishio, Juuzou Suzuya, and Yakumo Oomori. Each of them has unique attacks and special skills.

The battles are fought on large, closed maps. They are team based – one team consists of ghouls and the other features investigators.

Game modes

The game features two gameplay modes. The players can fight in PvP duels in which two groups are facing each other or they can try themselves in a cooperative mode in which a group of players s forces against the enemies controlled by an artificial intelligence.

Technical aspects

Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist features nice looking graphics. The visuals are three-dimensional and they use cartoon-like style inspired by the anime adaptation of the original comic book.
