Tomb Raider: Anniversary for PSP and PS2 is a remake of the first installment in the series following the adventures of a brave and sexy archeologist called Lara Croft. However, the game is not a recreation of the original product in full sense of the word. Eidos Interactive announced the game soon after releasing Tomb Raider: Legend. The game is considered to be a gift for the fans on the occassion of Lara's tenth "birthday".

Plot

In Tomb Raider: Anniversary for PSP and PS2, the plot is reminiscent of the story presented in the original game. The protagonist gets hired by a powerful organization, which gives her an assignment to find a mystical artifact lying somewhere within the unexplored tomb of Qualopec. As soon as the mission begins, it gets complicated, for Lara's guide dies and she realizes she has become a tiny cog in a large machine. Lara leaves her superiors and tries to solve the mystery on her own.
