Top Trumps: Horror and Predators

Top Trumps: Horror and Predators is an electronic version of a highly popular card game, whose peak of interest occurred in 1970’s and 80’s. The game rules are very clear. Each player has a set number of cards all of which are described with different statistics dependant on the theme. The winner is the player whose card has the highest value of the given parameter (e.g. engine capacity, in the motor themed deck). Just as the title may suggest, there are two types of decks. These are well-known predators and famous horror characters (e.g. Mr Hyde).

The game was released by Ubisoft company on three platforms: PC, PlayStation 2, and Nintendo DS. The differences between the game editions mainly boil down to the quality of graphics and multiplayer mechanincs.

You are offered quite a wide selection of game modes. Quick Start lets you play a quick game without having to care about setting any options. You can also take part in single battles, either solo or against other players. Two last modes are: Quiz, which sets before you a series of multiple choice questions, and Tournament Mode, where you take part in more complex duels and take on increasingly difficult challenges.
