Train Sim World 5 is the fifth main installment in the series of train simulation games launched in 2017. The game was developed by Dovetail Games studio, which oversees the development of the series and specializes in this genre.

Gameplay

Train Sim World 5 does not introduce any revolutionary changes to the mechanics, so the basis of the gameplay is the ability to take on the role of a train driver. The game provides us with a range of diesel and electric trains, which are diversified in of the degree of complexity of their operation (as befits a simulation, when sitting at the controls of trains, we independently use individual devices or systems), as well as their performance.

We can test the individual trains, as well as our skills, on three new routes. We can drive the Northwestern Class 350 on the British West Coast Main Line, and conquer the German Kinzigtalbahn in the cabin of the DB BR 411 ICE-T, the regional BR 114 Dostos or the freight DB Vectron. We can also travel the American San Bernardino One in F125 and MP36 locomotives. It is worth noting that by purchasing the deluxe edition, we can additionally extend the list of new trains - it includes Avanti West Coast Class 390 Pendolino locomotives and bright green Vectron and Talbot locomotives belonging to the FlixTrain company.
