A psychological thriller adventure game developed by Funhouse (a division of Ubisoft Montreal) in cooperation with SpectreVision. The title debuted on multiple gaming platforms, but only PC and PlayStation 4 versions virtual reality goggles and dedicated motion controllers. In Transference the player is tasked with solving a mystery of a family whose are facing various obsessions.
Transference for PC, XONE and PS4 is a psychological thriller adventure game developed by Funhouse, a division of Ubisoft Montreal. The game was developed in cooperation with SpectreVision, a company founded by actor Elijah Wood and movie directors Daniel Noah and Josh C. Walker. The game debuted on many platforms and PC and PlayStation 4 versions are ing the virtual reality goggles and dedicated motion controllers. However, these accessories aren’t mandatory to play the game.
In Transference for PC, XONE and PS4 the player is tasked with solving a mystery of a family, of which have various obsessions. During the game the player will attempt to help this family’s by examining their memories transformed into a digital form.
The story of the game is non-linear and how it will end (and how will the of the family end) depends on decisions made by the player.
The action in Transference released on PC, XONE and PS4 takes place in the house of the above-mentioned family. The player wanders through its rooms and encounters various characters. By traveling through the parts of their minds recreated in virtual reality, the player uncovers their secrets and weaknesses and he obtains pieces of evidence. He can choose how he will use obtained knowledge.
As mentioned before, Transference takes advantage of the virtual reality goggles and dedicated motion controllers. In case of PC version it s Oculus Rift (and Oculus Touch controllers) and HTC Vive; the PlayStation 4 version s PlayStation VR goggles and PlayStation Move controllers.
