Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is another entry in the Lollipop Chainsaw. The game is inspired by wrestling and the main protagonist is Travis Touchdown, a serial killer well known by the fans of the series. The development of the game was supervised by the famous developer Suda 51.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes takes place seven years after the events depicted in No More Heroes 2. Travis became bored with killing and he isolated himself from the world by moving out to forests in the southern United States. There he spends days by playing video games. One day, he is found by Ban, a killer whose daughter Bad Girl was killed by Travis. During the encounter, both men are transported to the demonic console Death Drive MK-II developed by Doctor Juvenile. Now the killers must fight in the video game in order to obtain the orbs of death. Whoever gathers six of them will be granted a single wish.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes is a three-dimensional action game that can be played alone or in co-op. The latter enables two players to fight against waves of enemies. The gameplay is focused on battle. Travis uses melee weapons to kill opponents. In addition to regular attacks, he can use special abilities like a whirlwind or a quick dash. During the majority of the time, the players are fighting against groups of weaker enemies. These battles are interrupted with battles against stronger opponents that require the players to be more careful.
The game takes place in the virtual world of a video game. The graphics and music are stylized as an older game. During most of the time, the action is presented from a camera located slightly above the map, but it sometimes switches to a third-person perspective.
