Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story takes place in a fantasy world. The player takes up the position of director at the school teaching future RPG heroes. While playing the game, the player affects not only the facility itself. He or she can also establish diplomatic relations with the five queens, fighting for power in the world.
The aim of playing the Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story is school management. The player must build new educational facilities (e.g. training rooms, classrooms and a library) and improve the existing ones. In addition, he must manage the timetable of students.
In addition to attending lessons, students can also be sent on missions around the world. They can perform them on their own, but the player can also control them on the battlefield. The combat in the game is purely arcade.
Each student belongs to one of three classes - warrior, mage or ranger. Each of them has a different skill set. Over time, they can be developed, allowing you to progress to a more advanced class. In addition, the player can also equip his companions with better equipment, which is produced from materials collected during missions outside the school.
