Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby is an RPG, developed by an indie Entalto Studios. After taking first place in the Vampire: The Masquerade Jam competition, the developers decided to take a shot at a much bigger, fully commercial project - Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Symphony, but this title was made available as a free prologue.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby takes us on a journey to the dark universe created for the role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade. We get to the Heartless club where a couple of main characters - mortal Zak Riley and vampire (Kindred) Diane have to play their part in a conflict waged by Camarilla (vampiric sect trying to stay in hiding) and Sabbat (fanatic group whose consider humans as cattle). Fates of protagonists intertwine with each other and how they will turn out depends on our actions and choices we make.
In Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby we observe the action from isometric view. The gameplay is based on the rules of the fifth edition of Vampire: The Masquerade. We explore Heartless club and have conversations with characters in it, as well as make various decisions. In this way, we gradually push the plot in the right direction. Game offers semi-open locations, which we can explore quite freely and each problem can be solved in several ways.
As Diane, we can use vampiric Disciplines (powers), led by supernatural strength and charm. It's worth ing that every choice we make matters, and it's up to us whether we decide to skillfully maneuver between vampiric or human nature, or whether we decide to completely follow one of the two voices.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Heartless Lullaby features simple graphics in low poly style (its elements consist of a small number of polygons). The whole game is kept in characteristic aesthetics, mixing shades of gray with blood red and colorful, neon accents.
