Victi: Blood Bitterness (in the United States known as Vigil: Blood Bitterness) is the first part of a planned series of episodic adventure games. Authors from the French studio Freegamer created a title in which the most important is the atmosphere. Throughout the game, the player feels the hopelessness and chaos of the world in which the hero he leads.

It is Dehon, the last surviving disciple of the great Gomenda, the former ruler of an ancient civilization of mysterious, masked beings. Before the events shown in the game, Dehon killed his three brothers. He did not do it in self-defence, he was simply driven by a desire for power. When he was able to live peacefully in a deserted castle, it turned out that it was filled with a strange incorporeal power. The only rescue is to escape from the vast, reminiscent labyrinth of a building. Dehon, without the of his loved ones, must rely solely on himself.
