Mechanics

Void Crew is a first-person game (FPP). The gameplay consists of two layers, the first of which being space combat. These battles are dynamic and to succeed we must make use of the weaponry installed aboard our ship; by targetting the enemy's weak points we can gradually deprive them of their energy shields or armor. Depending on our assigned role we can either pilot the ship, man the weapons or handle maintenance, repairing our vessel, charging power cells and craftign ammo. Enemies aren't the only threats we'll encounter in outer space; from time to time we'll need to face solar flares or asteroid showers.

The second layer consists of leaving our ship to make hull repairs or loot encountered wreckages.

Progressing through the game rewards us with valuable resources we can spend on upgrading our vessel, letting us face greater threats. We also acquire cosmetics we can use to modify our spacesuit's appearance.

Game modes

Although Void Crew is playable in singleplayer, the game was truly designed with four player co-op in mind.

Technical aspects

The visuals of Void Crew are very impressive. The space vistas and detailed ship models are especially appealing.
