A funny platformer with a water hero who challenges an oil company. Production is based on a physical system that calculates the behavior of liquids and contains dozens of ingenious levels. It was prepared by a studio founded by a former employee of Eden Games (Test Drive Unlimited series producer).
Walter, available on PC, PS3 and X350, is a platformer with a rather unusual hero - a creature made out of water. The game, reminiscent of Mercury HG or Puddle, was created by the French studio Blossom Minds, founded by Jérôme Braune. The developer previously worked for Eden Games, a team known, among others, from the Test Drive Unlimited series.
In the game, we play as the title character called Walter, a water hero who challenges a powerful and sinister oil corporation. The company's activities are harmful to the environment and literally poison Walter's life. In order to deal with this opponent, we have to go through dozens of levels, filled to the brim with platform labyrinths, traps, enemies and hidden objects.
The creators of Walter wanted to create a nice-looking and interesting platformer, which is based on a physics system that calculates real-time water behavior. Therefore, most levels contain different arcade and logic puzzles, adapted to the properties of the main character. Walter can jump, bounce off of walls, go or leak through various surfaces, or even turn into ice when exposed to liquid nitrogen.
