This game allows us to take control of four special forces soldiers involved in armed conflict, who are imprisoned in the near future. Observing our subordinates in isometric projection, we regularly test their physical abilities, such as the ability to swim, climb or drive vehicles. Many times we also give them an order to use four types of weapons - a pistol, machine gun, rifle and rocket launcher. All this to enable them, using their own weapons and our tactical sense, to face numerous, often better armed opponents.

Our battles with our opponents are divided into eighteen separate missions. The fact that during the campaign we often have to change the locations in which we carry out our activities and adjust to the existing conditions on the battlefield proves that these tasks are different. We get to both the jungle and the desert, and after a moment we move to the freezing climate of the Arctic, and then we try our hand at fighting in built-up areas.

According to the intentions of the authors, War Wound was to meet the expectations of both old veterans of tactical games, as well as novice battle enthusiasts. That's why its creators served in it a varying degree of difficulty mission, designed to keep the audience with the singleleplayer campaign, the only mode available in the game.
