Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is a direct sequel to the old-school first-person shooter. The first game was released by Auroch Digital studio in 2023. The sequel was created by the same team, but under the wings of a different publisher. Focus Entertainment was replaced by Big Fan Games - a division of Devolver Digital.
