Adaptation of an extremely popular quiz show. The game by Pipeworks Software studio allows players to take the role of participants of the TV show and try to guess the letters of the hidden on the board.
Wheel of Fortune, released on Wii and NDS, was developed by Pipeworks Software, a developer that worked on several video game adaptations of popular TV shows (e.g. Jeopardy! and Deadliest Warrior).
We play the role of participants of the game show and try to guess the letters of more than 8,000 crosswords from different areas of life (e.g. proverbs, book titles, sports disciplines). The game also features the titular wheel of fortune - a random factor that can either increase or decrease the rewards received by the player.
The game takes place according to the rules of the game show. Players have to go through successive rounds, the winner of which eventually reaches the final - Bonus Round, where they have the opportunity to win the main prize (one million dollars).
Thanks to the official license, developers from Pipeworks Software were able to use many elements characteristic for the game show. The role of the hosts of the virtual tournament is played by avatars of Pat Sajak and Vanny White, the hosts of the American edition of the show. The game also has the well-known music motifs of Wheel of Fortune.
