Wing Commander: Academy

On the wave of popularity of the first and second part of Wing Commander, Origin decided to make Wing Commander: Academy fans happy. In fact, it is a plotless mission generator based on Wing Commander II. As a TCSN Academy cadet, we practice a variety of space fights on the school holographic simulator CyberSchool. There are several types of tasks to choose from, such as patrol missions, rescue missions aimed at finding and destroying the enemy, or convoying unarmed transports. The game offers plenty of space to show off, allowing you to deploy up to ten different objects in each of the four action areas. We can place there fighters, flag ships, minefields, asteroid fields, information containers or rescue capsules.

Available are all ships from the previous parts of the sagas, plus two new experimental fighters: on the side of the Wraith Confederation, and Jrathek for Kilrathi. Those who are impatient can use the random mission generator option, which will automatically fill the battle areas with an unknown number of enemy ships and other surprises. You can save your missions and share them with other players. We also choose more or less experienced wingers participating in missions. The manufacturer has prepared one exemplary campaign "The Gauntlet", consisting of 15 combat missions.
