Winter Sports, as the name suggests, is a sports simulation game, which allows us to take part in sports disciplines taking place during the winter Olympics. The production was created and published by Oxygen Interactive.
Winter Sports is a sports simulation game, which enables us to take part in the sport disciplines included in the Winter Olympics. The game was developed and published by Oxygen Interactive and is designed for two hardware platforms: PC and PS2.
Winter Sports was inspired by the Winter Olympics from 2006, which took place in Turin. The release of the game was originally intended to coincide with this event but eventually it came to the stores several months later.
The game includes a number of disciplines associated with the winter season: ski jumping, downhill, slalom, alpine combination, biathlon, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing. In each competition, the players can compete with representatives of other nations. The developers have prepared not only the option to compete against AI opponents and break records on our own. Besides playing solo, there is also the multiplayer mode, where we will be able to compete against our friends or forces and fight together as a team against the computer-controlled national teams.
The soundtrack, which includes a commentary recorded by Sue Thurle and Tim Caple, the sports commentators specializing in winter sports, adds authenticity to the game.
The game is presented from the third-person perspective, and its visuals are fully three-dimensional, as other sports games of this type have already accustomed us to.
