Wizard Golf RPG, released on AND and iOS, is a hybrid combining elements of a sports game and RPG. It was developed by Floor 27 Industries studio.
Mechanics
In Wizard Golf RPG, we play the role of a magician, who has to break through dungeons full of monsters and traps to reach the top floors. The game takes place in a turn-based system. Our sorcerer can cast a fireball spell, which works like in golf games, requiring careful targeting and taking into the distance and obstacles standing in the way of the shot. At the same time, the magician is always automatically teleported to the place where the fireball has ended its journey.
When casting a spell, we choose not only the direction of the fireball but also its strength. Each use of the spell absorbs one point of mana. If we run out of them, we have to start the given stage from the beginning. Each of the available dungeons has nine floors and when traveling through them, we have one pool of mana, so it must be enough for us until the end of the journey.
There are also plenty of monsters on the maps, which need to be avoided or killed before they can do the same to us. In addition, during the journey, we can collect gold, additional equipment and experience points. Fun is driven by a system that allows you to improve your magician's skills, as well as teaching him additional spells, such as magic bombs or a spell that freezes enemies.
