World in Conflict is a real-time strategy game designed by the creator of the cult series Ground Control. The developers from the Swedish company Massive Entertainment enabled the players to assume the role of a military commander and to participate in a global military conflict.
World in Conflict for PC is a real-time strategy developed by the creators of the bestselling Ground Control series. The developers at Massive Entertainment enable us to assume the role of a military commander and take part in a global war.
We are presented with an alternative reality in which the 20th century Cold War period never ended and the Soviet Union did not collapse. Of course, the aforementioned global war broke out between none other than the capitalist West and the communist East.
The game offers numerous units and military hardware from the second half of the 20th century, including infantry, tanks, armored personnel carriers, aircrafts, rocket launchers, self-propelled guns, helicopters and so on. All military objects are accurately modeled in 3D, just like the entire environment.
Our main goal is to take over key locations on the battlefield by means of skillful military maneuvers. Each side possesses a fixed number of special points that allow it to call for reinforcements. Thanks to this, the resource-gathering aspect was eliminated and the gameplay became incredibly dynamic.
The single player campaign in World in Conflict is supplemented with cutscenes that ensure narrative coherence. The multiplayer mode allows the players to wage war via LAN or the global Internet in multiple game modes. The game s fan modifications as well.

World in Conflict: Soviet Assault is an addition to the 2007 World in Conflict real-time strategy. Enlargement makes it possible to look at fictitious events from the Cold War period from the other side. Developers from Massive Entertainment studio have prepared a campaign in which the player plays as a Soviet soldier. Plugin also introduces some new units and maps to multiplayer game.
